Booking Terms

General Terms & Conditions

Booking with Two Star Safaris signifies your acceptance of our terms and conditions. All bookings must be made through our website or by contacting us directly, and a deposit of 50% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the tour. In the event of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. If the tour is cancelled with less than 30 days notice, the full amount paid is non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel or alter the tour itinerary at any time, and tour prices are subject to change. It is the responsibility of the participant to have valid travel documents, including a passport and visa (if required) and to have adequate travel insurance for the duration of the tour. We will not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by the participant during the tour.

1. Price

All prices are net and non-commissionable.

Prices are quoted in Dollars ($) and include:

  • Full-board accommodation on double sharing basis.
  • Triple room where requested will be given.
  • All transport as per itinerary in safari van/cruiser.
  • Full-time English-speaking safari guide.
  • Campsite fees for camping safaris.
  • Park fees( also payable directly at park entrance gates)
  • Airport transfer, from and back to the airport

 

 

 

Price does not include:

  • Visas (payable at the airport on arrival)
  • Optional excursions.
  • Drinks, tips, phone calls & laundry.
  • Expenses of personal nature.
  • Medical insurance.
  • Personal travel insurance.
  • Flying doctor service for emergency evacuation.
  • Any other extra not stated as included.

2. Price Validity

Prices are valid for the specified time but are subject to change without notice in case of Government action; increase in hotel tax or V.A.T. Prices are marked on the today-exchange rate at the time of publication and may be affected in case of major variation in exchange rates.

3. Reservations

Upon reservations, a minimum deposit of 30%is required for booking outside 90 days, and 40% within 45 days. The balance to be cleared minimum 30 days before arrival.

Children of age 12 and below, sharing with parents will be required to pay 60% of the full price.

Payments can be made by Direct bank transfer or credit card

4. Cancellation

Due to the cancellation fees demanded by the hotels once we book your rooms, the charges for cancellation once booked are as follows:

  • Beyond 60 days: 10% charge, refund 90%
  • Bookings amended/cancelled above 30 days but less than 60 days: 20% cancellation
  • Charge: 80% refund

5. Accommodation

The standard pricing policy is of two people sharing a double/twin room. Single rooms are available at supplementary costs. Wherever possible we book rooms with private baths throughout the safari (except on budget camping). However Two Star Safaris can neither guarantee rooms with private baths as some rooms in Treehotels do not have private bathrooms.

6. Transportation

Depends on the itinerary route but is usually by safari minibus with pop-up roofs, large windows and English speaking driver-guide. Each client is guaranteed window seats allowing each one of you a perfect photographic corner.

Shown here are some of our frequently requested safaris. A published itinerary can be adjusted to suit your needs and should you wish to design your own program we will be happy to help.

8. Security

Urban areas of Kenya as do other parts of the world have a degree of crimes, the commonest being petty thefts. As such simple precautions are necessary. Large sums of money or travelers cheques should not be carried about but left in your hotel safe deposit.

Walking along the dark streets in major towns is a risk. Included in the petty crimes is theft of jewels such as gold chains, bungles or earrings, purse etc.

9. Insurance

An element of personal risk that is of hazardous nature is involved in all the expeditions. Members in such an expedition must accept this risk. You are advised to take out an Insurance policy to cover personal accidents and medical expenses. This can be arranged on request.

10. Liability

While great effort and care is taken for the safety and security of luggage, We shall not be held liable for loss or damage to such items. High precautions are taken to ensure your safety and you must note that some of the optional activities that you may wish to participate in carry with them various inherent risks. Should you wish to take part in them, and you are free to do so, We can assume no responsibility for your safety. Some regions and roads may be lacking facilities for quick evacuation. As such safaris are booked on agreement that you accept and you are aware of suck lack of facilities for rapid evacuation.

 

 

 

We shall not be liable to injury, loss, damage, accident, delay to persons due to sickness, pilferage, government restrain or weather changes. We will also not be liable for loss of property due to any act of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company, or agents rendering any of the services included in the itinerary.

Two Star Safaris reserves the right to cancel or change itineraries or substitute services without notice or decline to accept or retain any tour members at a given time.
